Good Tuesday Morning to you South Jersey!
High Pressure is remaining in control for this early part of the week. The next big weather maker will appear as a back door cold front swings are way Wednesday into Thursday. The weather can be more or less divided into two parts:
1) Up until the arrival of the cold front we can be expecting partly sunny skies, hot, seeing temperatures well up into the 90's. Dew point temperatures are projected to stay relatively high in comparison to daytime highs. The day time heating will create instability as we head into the afternoon hours. This will leave us with the daily chance for pop-up thunderstorms daily. Until Thursday temperatures can be expected to sit between 90-94 degrees on the mainland and 82-87 at the shore. The sea breezes will help keep humidity levels slightly lower at the shore, but not by much.
2) The second part of the forecast, upon arrival of that front looks unsettled. It should be less hot, temperatures will sit low to mid 80's on the mainland. It will be warm and humid with an increasingly wet pattern as daily chances of rain/t-stTrms grow. Everyday won't be a washout, but severe storms or perhaps more likely heavy rains with any slow moving or "training" thunderstorms could renew flooding concerns.
Have a Happy Tuesday South Jersey!
