Happy Sunday evening South Jersey!
For a recap of today, a lot more moisture was pulled in faster than expected. If you've been outside you will have noticed a high overcast, and maybe felt a drop of water or two. We've stayed mainly dry and it has been very summery out. With that being said we may see a little rain this evening but I am expecting this all to dissipate by late tonight. The excess moisture will most likely be more than enough for fog to form late tonight as well.
For your Monday though Friday forecast it is looking like the high pressure system that has been giving us the nice start to summer will continue to control the early part of the week. We do have the potential to see scattered thunderstorms for the day tomorrow; however I do expect them to be very scattered and short lived. Once we get into the middle of next week, we will be in the midst of a back door cold front by Wednesday. Until then expect hot and muggy conditions. The early part of next week will have temperatures in the upper 80's and low 90's. It is still uncertain how the front appearing Wednesday will effect temperatures for Thursday. There is still plenty of time before then.
Hope you enjoy the end of your weekend South Jersey!
Until next time,
Meteorologist Sydney Daniel
