Governor Chris Christie says that veterans have served our country not only aboard but here at home as well.
Christie spoke Wednesday morning at the 94th annual Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention at the Wildwoods Convention Center. The governor mentioned his recent signing of legislation to help military families and reiterated New Jersey's commitment to support it's veterans. Christie has made several proposals to help veterans keep their certifications earned while in the armed forces.
"Those men and women have come home, having honorably discharged their duties and now we have an obligation to do more than we're doing today," said Governor Christie.
Christie also thanked all the VFW members for their service to our country.
