Lottery officials presented the Buena Truck Stop with a $30,000 dollar check Friday, a prize given to the business for selling a winning Mega Millions ticket.
Located on Harding Highway, the Buena Truck Stop was given the check for selling a winning $30 million ticket in the May 31st drawing. No one has come forward to claim the prize yet and lottery officials were hoping Friday would be the day.
"The winner hasn't come forward yet, we were hoping maybe he/or she would show up and claim the ticket, but in the meantime we wanted to reward the retailer for selling that ticket," said Carole Hadinger, of the New Jersey Lottery.
The winning ticket was sold just weeks after one of two $190 million dollar Mega Millions winning tickets was sold in the state on May 17th.
