Tempers were flaring Monday night at the Downe Township Committee meeting as the discussion surrounding the Downe Township Emergency Medical Services continued. Members of the EMS spoke out in anger against Township's plans to transfer services over to surrounding municipalities.
Mayor Robert Campbell says the reason for the change comes from what he said were missed calls by the Downe Township EMS.
Some residents voiced their support for the Downe Township EMS and all its volunteers, who argue 100% response rate is rarely achieved by any service.
Mayor Campbell though, believes a one hundred percent response rate is the only number acceptable.
Many residents spoke at the meeting causing it to run late into the night and we'll be sure to update you results of the vote on the issue as soon as we get word from officials in Downe Township.
