Atlantic County teens showcased their skills in the arts Wednesday in Downtown Hammonton.
The Atlantic County Teen Arts Festival returned, as students from Atlantic County high schools shared their skills in the visual, performing, and literary arts.
Students were critiqued by other students and teachers, and were given a chance to sit down with some industry professionals.
Teachers say it's a chance for students to show what they can do outside of the classroom.
"Maybe they're not a great math student, or English student, but they're good with sculpting or playing an instrument, so they get to experience all those things on a day like today," said Rick Schwartz, band director at Oakcrest High School
Organizers say more than 1,000 students were at the art festival, which was started in 1969.
