A Florida man accused of shooting an elderly man to death during a botched home burglary makes his first appearance in court Thursday.
32-year-old Michael Castro was arrested in Florida and returned to New Jersey to face felony murder charges for shooting 77-year-old John Kingsbury twice in the head in Kingsbury's Mullica Township home.
The slaying, which happened on February 5th, 2012, was the first homicide in Mullica Township in 13 years.
Castro appeared today with his attorney to hear the charges against him which include murder and weapons offenses.
