Early this morning a car careened into an outlet store at Atlantic City's The Walk.
It happened just before 7 am when police say the 59 year-old driver experienced a medical emergency and sideswiped a police car while driving east bound on Arctic Avenue.
Police say his passenger realized the driver was having problems and she took control of the steering wheel.
The vehicle then veered into the doorway of the Reebok store, which was closed at the time.
Both the driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The police car received minor damage.
The police officer was not injured and returned to duty.
