Woman charged with medical fraud

TRENTON -

A physician who was the owner and founder of a home care service for seniors plead guilty Thursday to fraud.

Lori Reaves, 52, who owned Visiting Physicians of South Jersey based in Hammonton, entered the plea after authorities say she billed Medicare for face to face time with elderly patients that she did not provide.  Authorities say Reaves made more than $500,000 in criminal profits.

She now faces up to 10 years in prison and must pay back the money she made through criminal activity.
