Breaker failure knocks out power in Atlantic Co.

EGG HARBOR TWP. -

The power went out to more than 4,100 Atlantic City Electric customers Thursday afternoon, officials say.

According to an A.C.E. spokesperson, a breaker failure in the Searstown substation in Egg Harbor Twp. is to blame for the outage though the cause of the failure is currently unknown.

Officials expect power to be restored by approximately 6:30.
