Businesses who want to hire our heroes came out in Cumberland County Wednesday.
The job and career fair, held at the Cumberland County College Wednesday, focused on assisting veterans and their spouses in making job connections.
Event organizers say employers are looking to hire veterans because of their unique background and skill set.
"They are out fighting for our country and they are now coming back into civilian life and that transition is a little bit difficult. So we want to make resources available to them and we want to make sure that the are employers there that know what they're done for our country and they are ready to hire them," said event organizer Christy DiLeonardo.
The "Hire our Local Heroes" job and career fair was the kick off event to a military honors event held at the college.
