ATLANTIC CITY -- A church celebrated 15 years of dedication from one of their own Saturday afternoon.
The Resurrection New Covenant Church honored Deaconess Moszell Thomas for her 15 years of work with the Barnabas House.
The award was part of the 15 year anniversary celebration of the Barnabas House, which provides guests with prayer, food and clothing.
One of the founding members of the house, Thomas called the award an honor and a privilege.
"Words cannot even explain how I feel right now on this joyous occasion. I never thought I would stand in this position for 15 years, but god has blessed me with 15 years and I'm looking forward to what he has in store for me," said Thomas.
She says she hopes to see the Barnabas house expand its services in the coming years.
