GLOUCESTER CO. -
Three Gloucester County Fraternal Order of Police organizations are suing the Gloucester and Cumberland County Boards of Freeholders over a shared services agreement reached on Wednesday evening.
The agreement would close the Gloucester County Jail and transfer the inmates held there to the Cumberland County Jail. The lawsuit, filed in Superior Court, claims the shared services agreement is void because it does not contain an employment reconciliation agreement.
The lawsuit is asking for the agreement to be invalidated and for the County's to be enjoined from implementing the shared services agreement.
