State-of-the-art health care facility coming to Vineland

A new, state-of-the-art health campus is coming to Vineland and its owners say the doors will be open to anyone, regardless of whether or not they have insurance.

"We really...we really do it all."  From dental care to pediatric check-ups, the CompleteCare Health Network is opening a new facility in Vineland and says they will be able to help anyone...with or without insurance.

Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Emily Paul, said, "For a lot of people, a lot of working class people - who happen to not have health insurance, we do provide a really great service for them."

The new health campus will be a walk-in, multi-specialty facility.  It will offer primary, dental, mental, and specialty medical care to its patients.  Executive Vice President of Facilities, Curtis Edwards, explained, "Since we have 18 locations, this will be a feeder site for a lot of out other locations since some of the services we will offer here we don't offer at the other sites."

After receiving a 5 million dollar grant from the Health Resource Service Administration, officials from CompleteCare wanted to expand.  Emily Paul told NBC40, "The reason why we got this grant was because we do have a facility, currently over on Landis Avenue in Vineland, and we are at capacity – it's overflowing at that facility."

Nurse Practitioner, Christopher Simkins, explained how the new building will better assist patients by saying,  "It's going to be a lot quicker.  There's going to be a lot more expansion, more room for our providers.  We should be able to have a much quicker flow and that's really one of our goals."

Officials say the 14,000 square foot facility will be able to treat anywhere from 100 to 200 people a day, and that the new, centralized location is ideal for their patients.  Simkins added, "A lot of our patients, you know, they may not have automobiles or they may not have travel accommodations.  So it's going to be good for them with the one-stop shopping."

In two months construction crews will break ground in front of the old Lucia's Restaurant on Sherman Rd., and they hope to have the facility open by the Spring of 2014.

CompleteCare Health Network is a nationally accredited health system that provides Primary, Medical, Dental and Behavioral health services to nearly 50,000 people annually in Gloucester, Cumberland, and Cape May Counties.
