Atlantic City Electric has received one of JD Power & Associates most coveted recognitions.
Among the 31 utilities impacted by Hurricane Sandy, Atlantic City Electric has been ranked first overall in effectiveness of handling the emergency. A survey of over 5,000 customers in 15 different states affected by Hurricane Sandy was conducted last month. Utility companies were measured by preparedness, support efforts in recovery and effectiveness of communication.
Vince Maione, the Region President, is pleased to receive this honor, saying "Well we're very honored and pleased to receive this recognition from the JD Power and Associates. To be ranked number one amongst your peers is a great honor, and also to be recognized by our customers is a great honor. Our employees work hard, they do a lot we prepare a lot for storms and it's nice when our customers recognize what our employees have done."
Atlantic city electric says 210,000 customers were without power at the height of the storm.
