MIDDLE TWP. -
A Middle Township man was stabbed multiple times after an
argument with his friend this weekend.
Police say 51 year-old Leo Collins, of Cape May Court House,
was walking home with his friend in the area of Shellbay Avenue and Route 9 in
the Mayville section of the Township when the two got into an argument early Saturday morning. Police were called to the scene after Collins stabbed his
friend, identified as 50 year-old Duane Mathis, multiple times with a box
cutter.
Mathis was taken to the hospital and treated for stab wounds
to his back, leg and hand.
Collins was arrested a short time later and faces numerous
charges.
He is being held on $100,000 bail.
