Shots fired in Atlantic City leaves one teen wounded
ATLANTIC CITY -
One teen is wounded after shots were fired in Atlantic City Saturday night.
It happened around 10:15 p.m on the 800 block of North Maryland Avenue. Officials say police were called to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center after the 18-year-old victim walked into the emergency room with a gunshot wound.
The victim, Amir Moore, said he was shot around 30 minutes prior to coming into the emergency room.
According to officials, the victim was in a vehicle with three other passengers and while driving observed another vehicle following them. When their car reached the 800 block of North Maryland Avenue he parked the vehicle in a parking lot. Two unidentified males then fired shots as they approached the car. The victim also tells police he was able to escape to a nearby residence. Although the victim sustained a graze wound to his back, he was released from the hospital after treatment.
Authorities also found several shell casings at that location. No other suspect information was provided to Police.
