STONE HARBOR -- Police are asking residents to be vigilant after several reports of copper pipe thefts.
Police say starting late last month they began to hear about the theft of copper pipes in the area of 85th Street. Piping at the scene was found broken or cut. According to police , the thefts happened at houses with outdoor showers.
Officials ask residents to report any suspicious activity around crawlspaces or outdoor showers.
