Atlantic County is the latest area in the state where the Attorney General's Office is hosting a gun buyback.
The program will take place at two locations over two days.
From 8:00AM to 8:00PM on March 22nd and 23rd, Atlantic County residents can turn in their guns at one of two churches: the Second Baptist Church in Atlantic City, or the Faith Baptist Church in Pleasantville.
Residents can turn in as many as three firearms of any type, "no questions asked," and receive up to $250 per weapon. It's all part of the attorney general's statewide effort to reduce gun violence by taking deadly firearms out of circulation.
"Bring that gun into us. You'll get some cash for it, you're going to feel better, you're not going to have to worry about that gun lying around your house or maybe someone using it for a wrong purpose. Good for you and good for us," said Thomas Gilbert of the NJ Lieutenant Governor's Office.
Police officers will be stationed at the two churches to collect and secure guns.
