MAYS LANDING -
An Atlantic City man plead guilty Thursday to the 2011 stabbing death of Craig Giatto in Atlantic City.
Authorities say 45 year-old Luis Lopez plead guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter. Lopez stabbed Giatto at the Sunny Side Motel in Atlantic City on the morning of September 10th, 2011. Giatto was pronounced dead at the scene, and Lopez was found and arrested by Police.
The plea agreement calls for Lopez to serve 15-18 years in prison, and he will be subject to the No Early Release Act, meaning he will have to serve at least 85% of the term before being eligible for parole.
Lopez will be sentenced on March 28th.
