HAMILTON TWP. -
An accident closes down a busy Atlantic County roadway and
sends three to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
The accident on Route 40 in Hamilton Township occurred around
2 o–clock, when a car driven by 51 year-old Kathleen Costello of Margate
crossed over the westbound lane of traffic, sideswiping a Ford wagon. Costello's car went on to strike a Ford Mustang.
Costello, along with the driver and a
passenger of the Mustang, were taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Due to the accident, Route 40 was shut down for about an
hour.
