FEMA Deadline is extended to April 1st

SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY -

Governor Christie announces extension of the FEMA registration deadline.

Federal Emergency Management Agency help is still available for those recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

The deadline to register with FEMA is now April 1st.

FEMA help is available for residents whose primary home needs major repairs to be habitable, but the agency will only pay for repairs that aren't covered by insurance.

FEMA also offers rental assistance, crisis counseling, legal help with insurance and landlord issues and some guidance on tax returns.

To register you can log on to www.disasterassistance.gov or you can call (800) 621– FEMA.
