Authorities are warning residents of a possible
burglary ring targeting the elderly.
Last week, Vineland Police responded to a home on East Walnut Road for a report of a burglary.
The 94 year-old victim told police that a man knocked on her
door around 3 p.m. and told her that he
needed to look at buildings behind her home because they were due to be
demolished. The woman took the man to her backyard.
When the woman went inside, the man left without saying
anything in a dark pickup that pulled into the driveway while the two were
outside. The victim reported that her bedroom was disturbed, and
found jewelry missing from her bedroom.
Authorities believe multiple people worked together to rob
the woman's house. Anyone with information about the robbery should contact Vineland Police.
