MILLVILLE -
The city of Millville is moving forward with the New Jersey Motorsports Park's plans to add an ATV and motocross track.
Mayor Tim Shannon says that about 100 acres on the south side of Buckshutem Road has been approved to be turned into the ATV and motocross track adding to the city's attractions and hopefully adding visitors to the city. Shannon says that the added income in tourism that the park could bring in outweighs the possible noise problem.
"The noise to me is an idea that things are happening in the city, there's activity in the city and to be honest with you, if the down was quiet, I'd be a little scared," said Mayor Shannon.
There is word yet on how much the project will cost. Construction is expected to begin in the next couple of months.
