MAYS LANDING -
A Margate man has been sentenced for luring and sexual assault after being convicted of exposing himself to a young girl.
The then ten-year-old girl was on her way to school in Linwood in 2010 when prosecutors say 38 year-old Paul Campo exposed and fondled himself in front of the victim. As the victim attempted to get away, prosecutors say Campo allegedly grabbed the girl's skirt and pulled it down. The child was able to get away and told school officials what had happened.
Friday Campo was sentenced to 13 years in New Jersey State Prison for sexual assault and luring.
Campo must serve at least 85% of his sentence and register with Megan's Law upon release.
