ATLANTIC CITY -
Six Atlantic City police officers stepped up to sergeant Thursday.
The six police officers were promoted at Atlantic City city council chambers Thursday afternoon.
Mayor Lorenzo Langford was on hand to swear in the new sergeants.
"That's the first promotable rank and that's very important because you can't be a commander until you're a sergeant," said Police Chief Ernest Jubilee.
Four of the officers promoted today have 20+ years of experience each.
