If you are a fan of warmer weather, then you just have to wait one more day before your patience is rewarded. We'll get through one more cold, windy, and sunny day today with highs in the mid to upper 30s before the 40s make a return. Also, be sure to bundle up again today; wind chill factors will make it feel like it is ten degrees cooler. We end the week on a dry note, but it will be cloudier ahead of a coastal low that will arrive for Saturday. With highs starting their longer term climb into the low 40s, and precipitation that falls will come in the form of rain. Sorry, snow fans...not this time. Be sure to have your umbrella on Saturday, as the region gets a widespread and soaking rainfall with highs in the mid 40s. The second half of the weekend rebounds quite nicely, but the windy conditions return for one day.
Warmer air continues to filter into the region for the start of the next work week. We'll stay dry on Monday and warm up to the upper 40s before we see another low pressure system arrive and give us more rain on Tuesday. A pattern begins to make itself known as well: One rain event, followed by two to three days of fair weather, then another storm system arrives, etc. This pattern appears to take us out of February and right into the month of March.
Have a great day!
