More information is revealed regarding to a shooting that happened in Atlantic City last week.
Police now say a 19-year-old woman suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound in her apartment on the 3500 block of the boardwalk Thursday night.
Originally the woman and her boyfriend told police that two men broke into the apartment and that they were responsible for the shooting.
Police have charged the woman's boyfriend, 22 year-old Saboor Dennis, with tampering with evidence and causing false public alarm.
Additional charges are pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.
The woman was treated and released for a gunshot wound to her shoulder.
