An Atlantic City Police officer has been indicted on charges
related to his alleged abuse of the Live-In Officer program.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday that
a grand jury has indicted former officer Michael Jones. Jones is charged with official misconduct, theft and tax
fraud.
Jones, a 12-year veteran of the force, was arrested in March
of 2012 for allegedly subletting an apartment in Stanley Holmes Village
given to him at a discounted rate as part of the Live-In Police Officer Program. Subletting the apartment violated the terms of the program.
Jones faces 5 to 10 years in convicted.
