Local Special Olympian brings home bronze medal - NBC40.net
A local athlete has brought home a bronze medal for the 2013 Special Olympic World Winter Games held in Korea.
Maureen Larsen competed in alpine skiing for the U.S. The 25 year-old from Sea Isle City won the bronze medal in the alpine intermediate slalom and finished fifth in two other races.
The Special Olympics Winter Games took place from January 29th through February 5th in South Korea.
