SOMERS POINT -
A two-car accident has sent at least one person to the hospital and has temporarily shut down traffic on a Somers Point road Thursday morning.
According to an NBC 40 reporter on scene, the accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. Thursday when a silver SUV struck a red Chevy pickup truck on Ocean Heights avenue between New and Bethel roads.
An elderly woman was taken from the scene in a Shore Medical Center ambulance for unknown injuries. It is not known which vehicle she was in and it is unknown if anyone else was injured.
