VINELAND -
Police have arrested two men in connection with a string of burglaries at multiple businesses.
Omar Collazo–Matias, 21, and Luis Colon, 24, both of Vineland, were arrested in connection with more than 10 burglaries that have occurred along Chestnut Avenue in the past month.
Collazo–Matias was arrested Sunday night after police found him near a laundromat that had been broken into. Further investigation led to him being charged with nine additional burglaries on Chestnut Avenue dating back to January 2nd.
Colon was arrested the same night when police saw him peeking into a local business and in possession of a hammer and screwdriver. Further questioning led police to believe he participated in prior burglaries with Collazo–Matias.
Both men face multiple charges and are being held on $50,000 bail.
