A local hospital celebrated the grand opening of a facility that specializes in treating children.
The South Jersey Regional Medical Center opened its new pediatric emergency department Wednesday. The eight–bed unit is designed specifically to care for kids and features specialized equipment and exam rooms to give children the best care possible.
Officials say they see about 30 children a day come through the emergency department. It took two months to construct the new unit.
