Our break, brief as it may be, has finally arrived here in South Jersey. High pressure will nudge into the region from the west and give us the first of two straight days of generally sunny skies and calm conditions. Today and tomorrow will both be partly sunny, but Thursday will be just a little bit cooler and a little bit cloudier. Our main focus in the short term is Friday's storm. There is a general bit of agreement that the day will have periods of rain and wind, but the differences appear at night and into Saturday morning. One solution has us warmer at night (which means no snow) and drier on Saturday, while the other ushers in cooler air faster (which would mean at least a rain/snow mix) and lingers the precipitation in our area a bit longer. Stay with us here on nbc40.net as well as with Dan and I on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.
Beyond the uncertainty, we do at least get Sunday for certain as a total break from the unsettled weather. If the former of the models verifies, then we get Saturday as well. Both days, however, will have highs in the low to mid 40s. A cold front arrives with more rain and highs near 50 on Monday and possibly on Tuesday as well.
Have a great day!
