ATLANTIC COUNTY -
The Atlantic County Prosecutors Office has arrested a Burlington County man in connection with a deadly
motor vehicle accident that happened back in 2011.
20 year old Alec Kavahagh was taken into custody this morning
at his Burlington
County home.
Authorities say Kavahagh and Kevin Dilks were engaged in a
drag race on Clarks Landing Road
in Egg Harbor City
back in October of 2011 when the jeep Dilks was driving crashed and his
passenger, 19 year old Ashley Adams was ejected from the vehicle.
Adams died from her injuries
and Dilks was charged the next day.
Last week, a grand jury indicted Kavahagh on charges of Vehicular
Homicide and Conspiracy.
