than three hundred people showed up at Mays Landing Golf & Country Club
where Assemblyman Chris Brown hosted a Super Bowl Pre-Party for the Chief
Arthur R. Brown, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Foundation.
The
goal of the Foundation is to provide scholarship tuition and other assistance
to deserving local individuals and organizations. Equally, the scholarship
recipients are selected based upon scholastic achievement and demonstrated
financial need.
And
in light of Super Bowl Sunday, there was a true sense of teamwork on display at
the event tonight.
"We're
so fortunate to live in a community with so many people that are willing to
contribute and give so that other kids can go to college," says
Assemblyman Brown.
To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $215,000 in scholarships
and financial aid to more than five hundred students here in South Jersey.
