Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most anticipated days of the year, and along with those wings comes the beer and police once again warning anyone partying to have a plan.
Those who run the Hero Campaign here in South Jersey are reminding everyone to plan ahead. If you plan on drinking and driving, find a designated driver before you start drinking. They say most bars will give free soft drinks to anyone who says the are a designated driver.
"The important message is you can have fun and still be safe. Better to be safe than sorry. Make sure you have a safe and designated driver to drive you home. Then you can relax and enjoy the game and have a good time and not worry about imperiling yourself or someone else," says Bill Elliot of the Hero Campaign.
Police also say they will have increased patrols and DUI checkpoints.
