AVALON -
The beach in Avalon has been replenished and officials say it is ready for the summer.
The massive beach fill project placed more than 300,000 cubic yards of sand on the Avalon beachfront from 8th Street South to 25th Street. The final grading of the project was done Thursday, and the dredge used will be taken to Fire Island, New York for a project.
The dredge will return for a large beach fill project that starts in Stone Harbor on April 12th.
