SOMERS POINT -

On Sunday, Republican Assemblymen John Amodeo and Chris Brown officially announced their campaign for reelection.

At the Somers Point Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, Amodeo and Brown kicked off their campaign surrounded by supporters.

Both assemblymen say they are eager to continue to represent the 2nd legislative district and outlined their campaign goals.

"The campaign is going to be focused on helping the people of district two, its going to be focused on continuing to deliver savings to the taxpayers of the state of New Jersey and its going to be focused on building jobs and bringing on a stronger economy," says Amodeo.

Additionally, Brown adds, "We have to make sure that we get the word out that we are here, we are open for business and if we can continue on this path, it will just mean good things for everybody in New Jersey, so I'm excited for the opportunity."

Assembly Republican Minority leader Jon Bramnick was in attendance to relay his and Governor Christie's support for both assemblymen.
