Early this week we were thinking that this snow storm could have potential, and since then it has lost all hopes; in fact, I am not even considering it as a 'snow storm', merely a minor disturbance. In South Jersey we should pick up 1-2" overall, with some areas getting 3" of fluffy snow. The thing to be aware of is the timing of when the snow will fall... and that is during the evening commute, so be prepared for slick travel Friday.
This weekend is looking cold, and as sunny skies attempt to warm things up a bit, we will only be seeing temperatures in the thirties. The good news is that we will experience a brief thaw come next week. Temperatures will climb to 50 by Tuesday with rain arriving Wednesday morning.
With 'brief' being the keyword, temperatures plummet again to start off February. This is good news for the snow lovers out there, because climate models are pointing us in the direction of stormier trends for February; which could mean sizeable snow events for South Jersey!
