MARGATE -
Most of the more than 2,000 customers who lost power in Margate Thursday night have had service restored, according to Atlantic City Electric's web site.
Authorities were called to Jerome and Amherst Avenues in Margate for a downed wire around 7 p.m., likely to be the cause of the outage. Atlantic City Electric responded to the scene, and power was restored to most within two hours. Over 100 customers are still without power, which is expected to be restored by midnight according to Atlantic City Electric's web site.
