ATLANTIC CITY -
Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno was in Atlantic City Thursday to support local small businesses.
The Lieutenant Governor spent the morning at the small business procurement fair at the Tropicana. The goal of the fair was to encourage small business owners to meet with some of the federal agencies on hand so the two can work together to match opportunities with skill sets.
The hope is that by making these partnerships, it will help solve some of New Jersey's unemployment problems.
"It's a people business and people do business with people they know and like so its an opportunity to develop that relationship, share some to of the things that we do," said Steve Halligan, of Integrated Government Tech Solutions.
At Thursday's event, Lt. Governor Guadagno also encouraged small businesses to hire veterans.
