As supplemental Sandy aid bill passes US House, some still without any aid at all
VENTNOR - Now that additional federal aid for Hurricane Sandy victims is on its way, some organizations are receiving private donations, while still others are on their own, waiting for help.
Angelique Carlin is one those who has yet to receive help.
The home in Ventnor where she lived for six years now must be torn down, and she said she had to clean out all of her damaged belongings herself.
Angelique is not sure where any of the money donated to organizations like the Red Cross has gone and says many in Ventnor are in similar situations as her.
Meanwhile in Atlantic City, the long term recovery group has not relied on federal funding, instead receiving private donations, and then using that to match Atlantic City residents with those who can help.
Our calls and emails to FEMA about how the sandy aid will be distributed and when have not been answered.
Our calls to the Red Cross were also not answered, and we were unable to leave a message.
