SOMERS POINT -
Quick moving snow hit the area, making roads slick and bringing much colder temperatures.
What started as freezing rain and sleet quickly turned to
heavy snow, and even thunder and lightning in some spots, as temperatures
plummeted. The snow isn't expected to last long, but it was enough for some
places to get up to two inches.
The winter weather also made for dangerous travel conditions
as multiple accidents were reported on South Jersey roads. Motorists should use caution while driving because temperatures are expected to be well below freezing, making untreated roads slick.
