OCEAN CITY - Many towns in South Jersey with volunteers celebrating doctor martin Luther King Junior with a day of service.
Volunteers from Campbell's Soup as well as local girl scouts concentrated on the area of 51st & Haven in Ocean City, an area that had a lot of trash and debris still left from hurricane sandy.
At Richard Stockton College in Galloway, hundreds of students volunteered in over 25 service projects both on and off campus.
Organizers of the day of service at Stockton say that this is a great way to kick off the spring semester, and with President Obama's 2nd inauguration on this special holiday, there's no better day to serve their community and country.
