A Cape May
County man has been
arrested following the death of another local man in an alleged drunk driving
accident.

Township Police say that
on Friday evening, just before 8:30 PM, 23 year old Bruce Moffitt Junior of Cape
May Court House was driving a red jeep on Shunpike Road when he lost control and
the vehicle left the roadway and traveled into the woods.
Police say Moffitt Junior's passenger, 27 year old Jibreel Masud
was pronounced dead at the scene and Moffitt Junior left the scene of the
accident.
When police found Moffitt Junior they charged him with
driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash
resulting in a death and aggravated manslaughter.
After being treated for minor injuries, he was taken to the Cape
May Correctional facility on $250,000 bail.
