The Black Horse Pike was closed for about an hour Friday after police say the driver of a pickup truck ran through a red light, hit another vehicle and ended up with a traffic light on its roof.
It happened just after 11 Friday morning on the Black Horse Pike at Spruce Avenue. The 2003 Chevy pickup driven by 62 year-old Donald Lelion of Tuckerton, was heading west when police say he disregarded the red light at spruce avenue striking a Mercury Mariner. The impact caused the pickup to then hit a traffic light pole, which fell on top of the truck, blocking traffic.
Both drivers were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.
