A Deptford man was sentenced Friday after being convicted of
attempted luring and attempted sexual assault.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says that 53 year-old Michael Schiavo was sentenced to five years in New Jersey state prison for
trying to meet someone whom he believed to be a 14–year–old girl for a sexual
encounter.
The girl he intended to meet back in October of 2011 was
actually officers with the Atlantic County Prosecutors Office.
In August, Schiavo pleaded guilty to second degree attempted
luring and second degree attempted sexual assault.
