CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE -
A winter weather advisory is in effect for Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland Counties, and the possibility of more than a dusting of snow exists for most of our area.
Preparations for the white stuff began early Thursday morning across our region as Cape May County officials say the county has stockpiled 2,500 tons of salt to cover the roadways and 26 bridges throughout the County.
"The county road department is prepared, its been checking all trucks and equipment. There are 17 trucks available to go out tonight and crews have been staggered so that they will be able to work overnight to salt the roads and plow if needed," said Lenora Boninfonte, Director of Communications for Cape May County.
Cape May County officials are continuing to monitor the storm and make preparations before its arrival.
