ATLANTIC CITY -
Atlantic City Police say a man and a woman have been arrested after they attempted to rob a man at a hotel in the City Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to a motel on the beach block of Morris Avenue for a fight between three people around 2 Wednesday afternoon. On scene, police learned the fight started after a man and woman attempted to rob a man at the hotel. The 27 year-old victim told police that he responded to a knock on his door to find a man and a woman demanding money from him at gun point. The victim says he had less than $50 on him, which he turned over to the suspects before they led him to the ATM in the lobby. That's where police say a fight broke out, during which time police say the woman bit the victim multiple times. The victim was able to gain control of the man, who was arrested when police arrived, but the woman took the gun and fled the scene. The woman was located a short time later in a rolling chair on a boardwalk. A fully loaded handgun was recovered in the rolling chair as well.
The suspects, 32 year-old Robert Taylor and 24 year-old Brenda Dabney, both of Atlantic City, face multiple charges related to the incident. They are each being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $350,000 bail.
